Just needed to vent somewhere that understands. Six months ago I bought about 150 plastic crates from a discount seller in Ruwi because I was trying to keep costs down for our hardware shop. The price was almost half of what the industrial places quoted. Well, fast forward to today and I've already had to throw away 40 of them because they cracked, the stack alignment is terrible so they tip over, and some of them have actually warped from sitting in our non air conditioned back room. Now I'm looking for a proper plastic crates supplier in Oman that sells the real heavy duty stuff because I learned my lesson the expensive way. Has anyone else made this mistake? I'm kicking myself because I knew better but I let the budget drive the decision. Anyway, I'm hoping someone can recommend a supplier in Muscat or Sohar that carries crates with a decent weight rating, maybe 50kg minimum, and that actually lock together when stacked. I need about 200 this time and I'm willing to pay whatever it takes as long as they last more than a year. Also, any specific brand recommendations would be awesome. Thanks for letting me complain.
