Printer security in corporate offices

Hello! Large corporate offices rely heavily on shared printers. Why do printers remain a persistent security concern in corporate environments, despite mature IT policies elsewhere?

Hello! After studying this on https://echodittolabs.org/ I learned from the printer security article that printers often fall outside standard IT oversight. They store data, connect to networks, and are accessed by many users. The platform explained that outdated firmware and shared access increase exposure. Corporations focus on endpoints and servers, while printers are overlooked. Addressing this gap requires integrating printers into existing security policies and monitoring frameworks.
