U4GM What Is Pound of Flesh in Diablo 4 and How to Farm It

Farm Pound of Flesh fast in Diablo 4 via Helltides, Kurast Undercity, and Infernal Hordes, then unlock the Butcher's Hoard for mythics, lair keys, and top-tier Torment loot.

If you've spent any real time in Diablo 4's current season, you already know Pound of Flesh isn't some throwaway drop you toss in the stash and forget about. It's one of those materials that quietly ends up running your whole endgame loop. No Pounds, no Butcher's Hoard, and that means no shot at the bigger rewards people are chasing in higher Torment runs. A lot of players are trying to smooth out that grind, whether by tightening their route or checking places like U4GM for useful game resources, because once you start pushing harder content, every run needs to count.

Where to farm it first

The easiest starting point is still Helltides. If you've just crossed into the level 50 range, this is where you can build your first real stack without making things complicated. Tortured Gifts are worth your time, and the mystery chests are usually even better if you've got the cinders. You'll get Pounds of Flesh at a fair pace, plus Fresh Meat and a decent stream of extra loot. It's not the fastest method in the game, but it's reliable, and that matters more than people admit. A lot of players waste time bouncing between half-tested farming spots when they could just lock in a clean Helltide route and keep moving.

The best loop for fast runs

If you want better efficiency, the Kurast Undercity is where things really pick up. Using a Tribute of Titans turns the place into a proper farming engine. Runs are short, the density feels good, and the returns are much better than they look on paper. In a group, it gets even stronger. You clear faster, progress feels shared, and it's much easier to chain runs for twenty or thirty minutes without that awful stop-start rhythm solo players deal with. You'll notice it pretty quickly: less downtime, more drops, more reputation caches, and a much better chance of walking out with gear that actually matters instead of vendor trash.

Spending your Pounds the smart way

Once you've built up a decent pile, head over to The Broiler in Gea Kul through the Chamber of Suffering waypoint. The fight itself doesn't ask for summoning materials, which sounds generous at first, but the real cost comes after the Bloody Butcher dies. Opening the Hoard takes three Pounds of Flesh per player. That's the part you need to plan around. In groups, everyone should be ready before the run starts, otherwise somebody ends up standing there empty-handed while the others cash in. If you're solo, it makes more sense to save a bigger stack and run several fights back to back. Less travel, less fiddling around, more loot.

Build choices that save time

For this farm, speed beats style every time. You want fast movement, quick elite kills, and enough area damage to stop trash packs from slowing you down. Builds like Hammer of the Ancients still feel great because they hit hard and don't need a weird setup to work. Add strong Fury support and a weapon like Ramaladni's Magnum Opus, and boss damage stops being the issue. What usually holds players back is wasted time: chasing weak packs, looting junk, or drifting off the route. Stick to elites, hit the valuable chests, and keep the farm-to-spend cycle tight. That's how the season starts feeling rewarding instead of exhausting, and it also gives you more room to invest in upgrades tied to Diablo 4 Gold while you keep pushing deeper into endgame.
