I completely understand that feeling. Research papers can become overwhelming very quickly, especially when you are balancing other assignments, classes, and personal commitments at the same time.
What usually helps is breaking the paper into smaller steps instead of thinking about the whole task at once. I start with the topic, then collect a few strong sources, make a simple outline, and focus on one section at a time. Even writing a rough first draft without worrying too much about perfection can make the process feel much more manageable.
Setting small daily goals also helps me stay motivated. Finishing one paragraph, reviewing two sources, or completing the introduction still counts as progress. Once the paper starts taking shape, it feels less stressful and much easier to continue.
