AC works fine on the highway but dies at traffic lights, any ideas?

This summer heat is no joke and my car AC is starting to act strange. It blows ice cold when I'm cruising on Sheikh Zayed Road, but the moment I hit stop and go traffic or sit at a long signal, it starts pushing out warm air. As soon as I accelerate, it slowly gets cold again. I was worried it might be the compressor failing, which I know is expensive. I found a really clear explanation of why this happens specifically in our climate. If you want to understand the reasons, from a dirty condenser to a weak cooling fan, you can learn morelearn more here. It breaks down all the common causes and even has tips on what to check yourself. Before I book it into a workshop, has anyone else had this exact issue and found a simple fix?
