Dealing with an injury while working two jobs is a nightmare

I feel like I'm stuck in some kind of logistical nightmare and I'm hoping someone here has been through something similar. I work two jobs to make ends meet, one during the day at a warehouse and one in the evenings at a restaurant. A couple months ago I messed up my back pretty bad while I was at the warehouse, lifting something that was way too heavy. I filed my claim with the warehouse job and they've been covering my medical stuff, but here's the problem. My back still isn't better and I had to cut way back on my hours at the restaurant because I can't be on my feet for long shifts anymore. The insurance company for the warehouse is saying they only have to cover my lost wages from that job, not what I was making at the restaurant, even though I can't work there because of the injury that happened at the warehouse. I've been trying to figure out if that's actually how it works or if they're just trying to get out of paying me what I'm owed. I found a Hudson Valley workers compensation attorney Saugerties based online and I'm thinking about giving them a call, but I wanted to see if anyone else here has dealt with this whole situation of having multiple jobs when you get hurt. Does the insurance company really get to ignore your other income just because it wasn't technically the job where the accident happened? I'm already barely scraping by on reduced hours from the restaurant and now my warehouse checks are cut because I'm out of work there too. This whole thing is making me feel like I'm being punished for working hard to provide for my family. Any advice would really help right now.
