Best Classes for Auto Farming in Aion 2

In Aion 2, auto farming has already become one of the most important parts of daily progression. Whether you are grinding Kinah, collecting crafting materials, or farming gear drops, your class choice makes a huge difference in how efficient your farming sessions feel.

After spending time testing different classes and watching how players perform on active servers, one thing becomes very clear: ranged classes dominate automated farming. They simply lose less time moving around and can secure kills much faster than melee builds.

Here’s a closer look at the best classes for auto farming in Aion 2 and why they perform so well.

Ranger Is the Best Auto Farming Class

The Ranger is currently the strongest class for pure efficiency in Aion 2.

On crowded servers, Rangers are everywhere in popular grinding zones because their advantages work perfectly with the game’s automation systems.

Why Ranger Performs So Well

The biggest advantage is range.

Melee classes constantly waste time running from one enemy to another. Rangers do not have this problem. They can stand in one position and immediately target enemies the moment they spawn.

That alone massively improves farming efficiency over long sessions.

Rangers also have excellent sustained damage, which means they kill enemies quickly without needing long cooldown rotations. Since enemies die before reaching them most of the time, downtime stays very low.

Another huge benefit is loot control in open-world farming areas. Because Rangers attack instantly from a distance, they often tag monsters before melee players can even arrive. In crowded zones, this matters a lot more than many beginners realize.

For players who plan to leave auto combat running regularly, Ranger is currently the safest and most efficient overall choice.

Elementalist and Sorcerer Are Great for AoE Farming

If Ranger dominates single-target farming, then Elementalist and Sorcerer shine in AoE grinding situations.

These classes work best in dense monster zones where enemies spawn close together. Instead of killing targets one by one, they can wipe entire groups using area damage skills.

Strengths of Magic Classes

The main strength here is speed when farming weaker enemies.

In lower-level or tightly packed zones, AoE farming can generate materials and drops very quickly. Magic classes also have strong crowd control tools like roots and slows, which help reduce incoming damage while skills rotate automatically.

However, these classes require a bit more management compared to Ranger.

Mana consumption becomes a real issue during extended sessions, especially if your gear is not strong yet. If mana recovery cannot keep up, farming speed drops noticeably.

Even so, Elementalist and Sorcerer remain excellent choices for players who prefer aggressive clearing speed and large-scale mob grinding.

Gladiator Is the Safest AFK Farming Class

The Gladiator is not the fastest farmer in the game, but it is one of the safest.

For players who want to leave their character unattended in more dangerous zones, Gladiator offers incredible survivability.

Why Gladiator Works Well

Heavy armor, large HP pools, and natural sustain make the class very difficult to kill during auto combat.

Even when surrounded by enemies, Gladiators can survive situations that would easily kill squishier classes. Their cleave attacks also allow them to handle groups of monsters reasonably well.

This makes Gladiator especially useful in tougher farming maps where survival matters more than maximum efficiency.

The downside is mobility between targets. Like all melee classes, Gladiators lose time running toward enemies. Over long farming sessions, that movement delay lowers total farming output compared to ranged builds.

Still, if your priority is stability and low risk, Gladiator is one of the most comfortable options in Aion 2.

Why Ranged Classes Dominate Auto Farming

The current farming meta heavily favors ranged combat.

The reason is simple: movement wastes time.

Every second a melee character spends running toward enemies is a second without dealing damage. Ranged classes skip most of that downtime by switching targets instantly.

This becomes even more noticeable in high-competition areas where players fight over monster spawns. Ranged attacks connect faster, which helps secure more kills and loot over time.

As a result, Rangers and magic classes consistently outperform melee classes in overall farming efficiency.

Important Things to Know About Auto Farming

Even with the best class, there are still limits to how effective auto farming can be.

Anti-AFK Systems Exist

Aion 2 includes anti-AFK protections and daily Kinah limitations. Farming efficiency starts dropping after long uninterrupted sessions in the same location.

Many players notice reduced loot frequency after around 40 minutes of static grinding.

Because of this, constantly farming one spot for hours is usually not the best strategy.
