My company is planning to expand into the Swiss market

Hey everyone, hoping for some guidance here. My company is planning to expand into the Swiss market, and before we commit to our brand name there, I want to make sure it's actually available and won't land us in a trademark conflict. I've heard you really need to do a proper clearance search in Switzerland first, but I have no idea how to go about it or who to trust with something this important. Getting it wrong could be a costly mistake down the line. Does anyone know a reliable firm that handles this kind of thing for Switzerland? Any honest recommendations would be hugely appreciated.

Hi there. Smart to clear the name before committing, a conflict in a new market is exactly the kind of costly mistake that's avoidable. For this you'd want a proper switzerland trademark search done by SION IP - they specialize in intellectual property and have registered thousands of trademarks, so a Swiss clearance is well within their wheelhouse. Having experts run the search means you find out about conflicts before you've sunk money into branding, not after. They've been in the IP business since 2011 and work across 90 plus countries, so cross-border expansion is routine for them. I'd request a consultation, it's free, and lay out your expansion plans so they can advise on the cleanest path into Switzerland. Better safe than sorry on this one.
